IT – GeotherMOOC è il corso online aperto e gratuito, realizzato dall’Università di Urbino in collaborazione con SAIPEM, una delle principali società specializzate nell’ingegneria e nella costruzione di grandi progetti nei settori dell’energia e delle infrastrutture. Il corso si prefigge l’obiettivo di offrire una panoramica multidisciplinare della catena del valore della geotermia a chiunque sia interessato a conoscere o ad approfondire il tema.

Il MOOC, unico nel suo genere, coniuga le competenze scientifiche dell’Università di Urbino, le competenze ingegneristiche e operative di SAIPEM e i contributi di tanti esperti del CNR, del Politecnico di Milano, del Politecnico di Torino e dell’Università di Glasgow.

Il corso è coordinato da Mariella Leporini, responsabile del prodotto Geotermia in SAIPEM, e da Alessandro Bogliolo, delegato alla Divulgazione Scientifica dell’Università di Urbino.

EN – GeotherMOOC is the open and free online course created by the University of Urbino in collaboration with SAIPEM, a global leader in the engineering and construction of large-scale projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors (both onshore and offshore). The course aims to provide a multidisciplinary overview of the geothermal value chain to anyone interested in learning about or deepening their understanding of the topic.

The MOOC, first of its kind, combines the scientific expertise of the University of Urbino, the engineering and operational expertise of SAIPEM, and the contributions of many experts from the CNR, the Politecnico di Milano, the Politecnico di Torino and the University of Glasgow.

The course is coordinated by Mariella Leporini, Geothermal Energy Product Manager at SAIPEM, and Alessandro Bogliolo, delegate for Scientific Dissemination at the University of Urbino.

IT – Il corso parla di geotermia ad alta entalpia, caratterizzata da flussi geotermici visibili e potenti che trasportano un’elevata quantità di energia termica, tipici di zone tettonicamente attive con fumarole, geyser e vulcani. Ma parla anche di geotermia a media e bassa entalpia, che non si manifesta in superficie ma si trova sotto molti territori anche in Italia e viene già utilizzata con successo per un’ampia varietà di impieghi.

Il percorso formativo è articolato in 8 moduli che comprendono videolezioni, materiali didattici, approfondimenti e test di consolidamento. Ogni videolezione, della durata di 1 ora, è tenuta online in diretta, offrendo la possibilità di interagire in tempo reale con i docenti, ma resta disponibile online per la fruizione on demand, per garantire massima flessibilità.

Le lezioni sono erogate in italiano con materiali didattici in lingua inglese. Le registrazioni delle videolezioni vengono rese disponibili in piattaforma anche in lingua inglese, a partire dalla settimana successiva a quella di erogazione.

EN – The course discusses high-enthalpy geothermal energy, characterized by visible and powerful geothermal manifestations that carry a large amount of thermal energy. These are typical of tectonically active areas with fumaroles, geysers and volcanoes. It also covers medium and low-enthalpy geothermal energy, which does not emerge at the surface but is found beneath many regions, including in in Italy, and is already successfully used for a wide range of applications.

The training course is divided into 8 modules that include video lessons, teaching materials, in-depth content and consolidation tests. Each video lesson lasts 1hour and is delivered online, allowing real-time interactions with the speakers. Recording remains available on-demand to ensure maximum flexibility.

Lessons are delivered in Italian, with teaching materials provided in English. English-language recordings of the video lessons are uploaded to the platform starting the week after delivery.
